- A young fast rising Port Harcourt based social media influencer has taken to Facebook to express his disappointment about musicians in his city.
- In his words, comedians are working harder than artists in Port Harcourt
There’s no question that musicians have to work hard to be successful. They spend countless hours honing their craft, writing songs, and performing gigs. But what many people don’t realize is that comedians also have to put in a lot of hard work to be successful. Like musicians, comedians need to continuously hone their craft and come up with new material.
They also need to perform regularly, whether it’s at comedy clubs or other venues. And just like musicians, they often have to travel for gigs. What sets comedians apart from musicians is that they often have to do all of this without the backing of a major label or management company. They are essentially their own bosses, which means they have to put in the extra effort to promote themselves and their careers. It’s clear that both comedians and musicians have to work hard to make it in their respective fields. But given the challenges faced by comedians, it’s safe to say they are working harder than musicians.
TKC also added that despite the fact that there are labels and organizations going all out to get musicians in the city the recognition they deserve; they are rather lazy and not ready to go all out for themselves.
It’s no secret that some musicians are lazy. But why?
First, it could be that they’re simply not passionate about their craft. If they don’t care about making great music, then they’re not going to put in the effort required to be successful.
Second, they might not be very disciplined. It takes a lot of discipline to be a successful musician, and if they’re not willing to practice regularly or put in the work needed to improve their skills, then they’re not going to make it very far.
Third, they might not have any real goals or ambitions. Without something to strive for, it’s easy to become complacent and just go through the motions without putting forth any real effort.
Final Thoughts
Whatever the reason, there are certainly some lazy musicians out there. But that doesn’t mean that all musicians are lazy – far from it! There are plenty of hardworking, passionate musicians who are dedicated to their craft and always looking to improve and grow as artists.
