The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is happy to announce that it will be providing a number of research grants to deserving students from the United Kingdom and other countries who have submitted an application to pursue a degree program within the Faculty.
The amount of the Faculty Scholarships is equal to the cost of the tuition price plus a maintenance grant equal to the minimum award required by the UK Research and Innovation, which is currently £17,688 per year and may be received for a maximum of three years. This reward is contingent upon your making sufficient progress during your program, and it will be distributed proportionately for part-time programs.

Eligibility: Prior to submitting an application for a scholarship, applicants are required to already be in possession of an offer of a place to study a postgraduate doctoral program in any department within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and they must be scheduled to begin their studies during the academic year 2023–2024. We encourage submissions from students who identify with any and all minority groups. Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates from the United Kingdom are eligible to apply for two of the available scholarships.
